Win a Pizza Party for your class! And more cool prizes…

To encourage the sharing spirit, the Wang family has decided to sponsor a Pizza Party for the Grade 4-8 class at St. Michael School that has the most participation in the new website. To enter, you must publish at least one speech online @ www.ourspeeches.com  before Friday, May 30, the contest deadline. Each published speech will receive one entry to a Surprise Raffle Draw for an individual prize as well. The draw will be held on Thursday, June 5 at the school. (Check the “News and Events” section on the website for more details.)

 

Requirements:

1. Each student completes the registration process;

2. The Parents/Guardians of the student confirm their consent;

3. The student submits the speech before May 30;

4. The speech meets all the rules for Public Speaking Competitions from the Halton Catholic District School Board.

 

Two Ways to participate:

1)  Online

Go to www.ourspeeches.com.

Click on the sign-up link on the top right corner to access the registration form.

Activate your account by clicking on the link in your e-mail.

Ask your parents to check their e-mail to approve the consent.

Login to “My Account” and upload your speech before the deadline.

 

2) For students who need help with typing and don’t have Internet access at home:

Make a copy of your written speech.

Write the following information:

Full name,

Year (When you delivered the speech.),
Grade (Which grade you were in when you delivered the speech.)
Winner Status ( “Class”- top 2 in your class; “School”- Represented St. Michael in Oakville Finals; “Board”- Recognized by the Halton Catholic District School Board.)

Ask for a copy of the consent form during the presentation or from the office.

Ask your parents to sign it.

Drop off the signed consent form and your speech to the office before Friday, May 30.

 

Note: We won’t publish your name, we only publish the text, the year when you wrote it and in which grade you wrote it.
